Probably the first thing I should mention is that the Patriots won another Super Bowl. It was fun sharing the excitement with the kids even though we were miles apart. As intrusive and consuming as these smartphones can be it sure is a great tool for real time interaction during special times.
Other than that things were pretty routine I suppose. I took my car in for an oil change and left with a new car. I found out my extended warranty had run out and I was about to leave on a long road trip so it was really an easy decision when I was offered a good deal on a new 2018 Ford Eco Sport. I also bought a new refrigerator for the house, got my taxes done and finally went to a dermatologist to get a bunch of spots burned off and a biopsy done on my head. (It was negative).
I took this final phase sign picture on a run right before I left on my road trip. Little did I know how prophetic it would prove to be. I left on February 14th and headed into a beautiful sunrise.
